Houston LGBT Political Caucus

The Houston LGBT Political Caucus is a non-partisan organization that works to promote equality for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals.

Founded in 1975, it is the largest GLBT political organization in the city of Houston and Harris County. The 82nd Texas Legislature passed the House of Representatives bill in 1965, which directed the expansion of faith-based and community-based initiatives in Texas. This bill has enabled the Houston LGBT Political Caucus to continue its mission of advocating for LGBT rights.
